I had the privilege of being under the care of Christina during my first pregnancy as a patient at Grapevine Birthing Center. Christina’s passion for this field shines in her knowledge and the 4th trimester. During my prenatal care I valued her approach to fixing problems not treating symptoms and her pursuits of answers to puzzling (but not harmful) labs. God had other plans for the delivery of my son and I had to transfer to the hospital but Christina stayed with my husband and I. She quickly traded out her midwife hat and became another doula to advocate for me. As a new mom, she was a GREAT resource for lactation guidance and gave me reassurance that my son’s contentment was evidence I was meeting his needs. I will definitely be seeking her out for my next pregnancy!

I worked with Christina very closely throughout my pregnancy and even postpartum. She was very supportive of my choices, spent hours long making sure all questions were answered. She was also super supportive in the immediate postpartum period when I was getting such conflicting messages from doctors and family friends. She’s truly great!!

My husband and I were pregnant with our first child, and only about a month away from our due date when we found Christina. First off, instant connection with her. She was very down-to-earth, and open to our wants and needs as first-timers. She made herself available for all of our questions and worries, and would research anything before giving us the options. The day that I went into labor, she was there every step of the way. She was so comforting, and very attentive to my needs. She didn't judge on any of the decisions we made, even when I decided to get an epidural. She was a great support system to my husband as well. It meant a lot to him to have her there if he had to leave the room for something. And for the whole three plus hours that I was pushing, she was by my side, cheering me on. Never once did I doubt her knowledge, and never once did I feel uncomfortable. It felt as if family were by my side; like a sister. I was so honored to share such a life-changing event with her. She also did our Placenta Encapsulation, and I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical at first. I do have a history of depression, so that's why I had decided to get it done; just in case. I noticed a HUGE difference. I took the pills as per her directions, but as the days went by, I figured I could do without them for a day or two. It had to be my hormones still trying to balance out, because my body was telling me I still needed them. I noticed my mood drastically change when I didn't take my morning dose. I did eventually stop taking them, as I feel my hormones and mood balanced out. I still have some left and will keep them as my little emergency stash. I honestly feel like they improved my mood, my milk supply, and my post-pregnancy body. I recommend Christina both as a doula and as a Placenta Encapsulator. She has definitely found her calling :)

Christina provided outstanding birth services for the birth of my daughter...She provided my husband and I with support throughout my entire pregnancy (4-40 weeks), birth and beyond. We met several times to talk about my ideal birth experience and how she would fit into that experience...During the birth she was invaluable. She helped me when I didn't know what I wanted or needed...I remember just as my baby was coming I was starting to lose it. Christina got down at my level and locked eyes with me. The second that took place I was able to focus on her, relax my body, and literally the next contraction my baby girl was born...She also encapsulated my placenta after the birth and prepped pieces for my hubs to make smoothies.

I loved how helpful Christina was even prior to birth - providing us with so many resources to prepare for labor, always available via text for my late pregnancy back pain - she gave solutions I hadn't thought of, and encouraged us to practice labor positions and use her rebozo. Even as a second time mom who had gone through Bradley Method and Birthing From Within birth courses, I feel like I learned so much...I went into labor feeling prepared and supported. We are so grateful to have had Christina as our doula!

Christina was so quick to encapsulate my placenta and I would definitely have it done again. It enabled me to function normally and make the transition into being a mother without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted… The placenta pills definitely had a positive impact on my mood and energy. I have yet to cry uncontrollably for no reason.

Couldn't have been happier with my placenta services from Christina. Her communication was efficient and she arranged to have my placenta picked up within hours after delivery. She processed it so quickly that I received everything 2 days after delivery. She explained that the tincture would take 6 weeks to be ready (at which time I would filter it from the jar it was in into the dropper bottle) and gave me tips on how to add more alcohol to it every 6 weeks to make additional batches. The salve is wonderful and I've noticed an improvement after applying it to my tender bits. I got 168 capsules out of my placenta - score! - and so far they seem to be very strong and powerful. The label had instructions and she explained those in detail. Finally, the free keepsakes of placenta print and umbilical cord will be treasured. Would definitely recommend and use Christina's services again!
